We have been busy lining up some events to kick off the Holiday Season! I know it is still September but nowadays you have to start thinking early. All of our vendors have fall home decor available and Diane has been working hard making stockings, table runners and other things we will need for the season.
Upcoming Quilt Shows
We will be having booths in two shows in October.
October 5 2019: Robertson County Family & Community Education Clubs, at Robertson County Fairgrounds. 9am – 4pm, $5 entry fee. If anyone wants to display a quilt, it is a non juried event and we have the forms you need to submit your quilt.
October 11 & 12, 2019: Cumberland Valley Quilters Assoc’s Historic Franklin, TN. Located at St. Philip Catholic Center. 10am – 4pm $5 entry. free parking across the street.
We were very excited to be invited to these events, really looking forward to going! The hard part is for me to stay in our booth and not shop! I will be sharing pictures of the quilts there on our Facebook page so if you cannot come, you can still see some beautiful work.
So on November 9th, we are having our Open House! September was our 1 year anniversary but we both had so much going on, same in October, so we decided to celebrate our anniversary and kick off Holiday Shopping! We will be having store wide sales, some Drawings and Contests during the day. And of course Snacks!
Show & Tell Quilt Contest:
Since we are nosey and love to see what everyone makes and love to share, we decided have a contest for our customers to choose which they like the best. To enter, send us a 5×7 picture of your favorite quilt you have made. On the back, please put your name, address, phone number and email. Please do not email a picture, it will not look good if we print it out and write on back. We are going put the pictures on a wall, not showing any names or info, but everyone will have a number our customers will write down as their favorite. The quilt with the most votes will win a prize! We have not set up our prizes yet and will share on our facebook page when we do.
Deadline for entries to be at our store is November 1st. So voting will go from 11/2-11/16. Entries will be visible on our Facebook page and here on website. So people can vote on either place by messaging or emailing. Winner will be announced after 16th!
I am trying to figure out a way to post all the choices on a blog and on Facebook. I am technically challenged but you will see when we do.
Quilt Classes
Sharon with Coyote Quilting will be having classes October. I am sharing her month schedule along with an example of a class. There are a variety of patterns you can choose from for an individual class that can be specially scheduled for you.
